Christmas 4 Everyone

As you can see, we've had a name change to the event.
When I called Fort Vancouver Assisted Living, I was told that they were transitioning to a drug rehab facility.
And **POOF!!!**
Just like that Christmas for All was retired.

HOWEVER!!! Do not despair! As one chapter closes, another chapter opens.
My helper from the last couple years, Brenda, is taking up the mantle to continue bringing Christmas to residents at another assisted living facility- Hazel Dell Assisted Living. Brenda was told that some of our friends from FVAL moved to HDAL, so we will likely see some familiar faces.

Another change will be the contact person. Brenda will be in charge of adopting out the residents. Her contact info is 360-843-6290     OR  email-  gramma101510@gmail.com
Drop off is still located at our shop for now, 11013 NE Burton Road. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 6pm.

We will still arrive at the shop, meet up is at noon, then kickstands up at 12:30 to ride to the facility as a group. It's a roughly 20 minute ride on city streets.
Route is:
North on NE 112th Ave./Covington Road.
Left/ West on NE 76th St./ Ne 78th St. (There's a left hiccup at the Padden/78th interchange)
Left/South on NE 13th Ave.

What is Christmas 4 Everyone?
It's similar to a Toy Run, only we're delivering gifts to Residents in an Assisted Living Facility.

Three ways to participate!
1. You can drop off donations any time of the year of blankets, pajamas, lotions, shampoos, Kleenex or something else on the list on the poster.

2. You can adopt Residents from a list that Brenda gets from the facility and go shopping for that specific person.

3. You can Show up the day of the ride and help distribute gift bags.

OR!! Do all three!
-------------------------------------

As time goes on, gifts get put into bags labeled with a resident's name.

On the day of the ride, we pack up the gift bags, fire up our bikes and ride over to the facility, where we meet the residents and give them their gifts. NOTE- You are welcome to drive as well and is encouraged in inclement weather.

There is no ride fee, however we do appreciate those who come with a bottle or two of shampoo or body wash.

If you have any questions, feel free to call Brenda at 360-843-6290.
